Celebrating our climate-resilient indigenous foods

This short film captures the essence of a small-scale food festival held in Kiambu County, Kenya. This event, orchestrated by a dedicated local women's group, received vital backing from PELUM, a non-governmental organization that was the driving force behind this initiative. We devoted a day to documenting these women as they expertly prepared a selection of indigenous foods cultivated organically on their farms. This narrative holds significant importance as it underscores the advantages of locally sourced foods that have traditionally thrived in these specific regions. These foods have the potential to combat food insecurity within our communities, making this story an essential one to share.
